For NRTEC, annual planning has never been just about numbers, targets, or spreadsheets. It's more like a recalibration of direction, collaboration, and values.
On December 29, 2024, we chose to do things differently-Leaving the office and venturing into the real world, we traveled to Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, spending an entire day to answer one question:
Without resource advantages or familiar surroundings, can we still trust each other and achieve our goals together?

Putting "Planning" into a Real-World Scenario
For this year's annual planning exercise, led by Coach Lei, the entire team was divided into four smaller teams.
There were no pre-set routes or standard answers, only clear objectives and strict constraints.
Limited budget, unfamiliar environment, and real-time collaboration-These were not intended to be deliberately challenging, but rather a highly realistic simulation of actual work conditions.
At NRTEC, we firmly believe that:
A team's true capabilities often emerge amidst uncertainty.

Why the emphasis on "process" rather than "results"?
Unlike traditional team-building activities, this plan does not use "how many tasks are completed" as the sole criterion for evaluation.
We are more focused on:
1. Whether participants are willing to communicate proactively when facing challenges
2. Whether they can quickly coordinate when disagreements arise
3. Whether they can demonstrate creativity when resources are insufficient
4. Whether they maintain a sense of responsibility under pressure
These abilities are precisely the core qualities we highly rely on in our daily work.
Limited resources make for the best management classroom
Each team has only 150 yuan in starting capital.
Eating, execution, creation, and interaction-everything must be completed within this budget.
Teams need to design their own plans, DIY t-shirts, attempt sales, plan expenditures, and even prepare gifts for other teams.
This isn't a "game," but a real-world lesson about cost awareness, value exchange, and resource allocation.

Using the camera to document thinking, not just images
Throughout the entire process, each team needed to collaborate with a photographer to complete a self-planned video project.
The camera wasn't used for the sake of "looking good,"
but rather to help the team learn:
1. How to express their ideas
2. How to clearly explain something
3. How to review the process, rather than just showcasing the results
This is highly consistent with the communication logic we use daily when dealing with clients, partners, and the market.
Company culture is not a slogan, but a choice
This year's annual planning didn't involve forced emotional appeals or deliberate sentimentality.
It was more like a collective choice:
Choosing authenticity over formality
Choosing action over empty talk
Choosing long-term vision over short-term gains
We believe that a team capable of supporting each other in unfamiliar environments and still achieving goals under challenging conditions is the only kind of team with truly sustainable growth potential.
Looking to the future, we remain committed to "people-driven growth."
A day on Gulangyu Island is short, but the reflections it inspires are long-lasting.
For NRTEC, this is not just an annual event, but a continuation of our management philosophy-respecting individuals, valuing collaboration, and believing in the value of long-term investment.
This is the fundamental basis that enables us to continuously develop products, serve global customers, and build long-term trusting relationships with our partners.
Conclusion
There are many ways to plan for the future, and we have chosen the most "authentic" path.
Go out, see the world, and see yourself. This is the answer the NRTEC team has given itself for the new year.
