What is an electric forklift truck?

Electric forklifts are divided into two types: lithium battery type and gas type. The former uses a battery-powered motor, while the latter uses a traditional internal combustion engine and requires fuels such as gasoline, petroleum gas (LPG) and diesel.

The former is different from traditional forklifts and has other advantages. It can quickly, stably and energy-savingly realize the handling and stacking of goods, and can adapt to a variety of working environments, even outdoor operations. And it is widely used in various industries. When you plan to invest in an electric forklift, you need to understand its load capacity and your use environment.

Benefits of Electric Forklift Trucks

Electric forklifts are suitable for a variety of purposes. Using electric forklifts in factories or warehouses, manufacturing, and food industries has the following benefits:

1.Environmental protection and low noise: Electric forklifts use batteries as a power source, have no exhaust emissions, and are suitable for indoor and environmentally friendly places.

2.Low maintenance cost: Compared with internal combustion forklifts, electric forklifts have lower maintenance costs because they require fewer mechanical parts, such as carbon brushes and steering gears.

3.Versatility: The electric forklift also has a load capacity of 2000kg~3500kg, and is equipped with Linde's digital controller and durable tires, which can be used in various industries.

4.Easy operation: Electric forklifts are usually equipped with a modern and user-friendly multi-function tiller head, which can control various functions with one button, making operation easier and more user-friendly.

5.Cost-effectiveness: Electric forklifts are powered by high-power motors, and the batteries are rechargeable and reusable, without the need to purchase fuel, helping companies save maintenance costs and procurement costs.

6.High efficiency: Electric forklifts can respond quickly, achieve full speed operation in a short distance, and improve operating efficiency

Disadvantages of electric forklifts

1.High cost: The purchase cost of electric forklifts is usually higher than that of internal combustion forklifts, especially high-performance models.

2.Endurance limit: The working time of electric forklifts is limited by the battery life, and the battery needs to be charged or replaced regularly.

Industry Applications

Electric forklifts are widely used in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, food, chemical plants, supermarket warehouses and other industries.

They are not only suitable for traditional cargo handling, but also play a role in special environments such as high-rise warehousing. With the advancement of technology, the application scope of electric forklifts has been continuously expanded, such as narrow reach truck forklifts, order picker, NRT robotics, etc., which have adapted to the high-level development needs of modern warehousing and logistics.

How To Use Electric Forklifts Correctly

* Check the status of each forklift before operation

* Check mechanical and electrical faults

* Wear personal protective equipment (safety helmets, safety shoes, gloves)

* Drive carefully and slowly, and do not exceed the speed limit

* Load and unload items within the weight limit

* Pay attention to the surrounding environment and ensure that there are no people or obstacles during the operation

* Return the controller to the parking position before turning off the engine, and pull the handbrake to ensure the stability of the vehicle

* Reasonable charging: Arrange the charging time reasonably to avoid excessive discharge or charging of the battery

Daily maintenance

* Clean the forklift: Clean the forklift surface regularly to remove debris and dust, focusing on key components such as the fork frame, mast slide, generator, starter, battery, water tank and air filter.

* Check fasteners: Check the looseness of fasteners, including fork frame support, lifting chain tensioning screws, wheel screws, wheel fixing pins, brake and steering screws.

* Battery maintenance: Regularly check the electrolyte level and sealing of the battery, keep the battery clean and charge it regularly to avoid battery self-discharge and over-discharge
